Digital music distribution is the process of making your music available to the public to stream or download on music stores and streaming platforms (DSPs). With a service like BandLab Distribution, you can get your music on Spotify, Apple Music, and more - not only will you receive earnings, but your music will reach a global audience. Can I release a song during the BandLab Membership trial period?

Digital distribution is only available when you purchase a monthly or annual BandLab Membership, but you can create a draft release to prepare your tracks for submission during the trial period.

Do I still own the rights after releasing with BandLab Digital Distribution?
Yes, 100%!
How long does it take for my track to go live?

Distribution times can vary depending on the store. Once we've reviewed your submission, it can take up to 2 weeks for your track to go live on Spotify, Apple Music, and other stores.

Can I schedule my releases?
Yes, you can! Our release scheduling feature lets you choose the ideal date to release your track on major streaming platforms. Select ASAP for a quick turnaround (5-7 business days), or set a Specific Date (at least 14 days in advance). This allows you to align your release with key events, holidays, or promotions to build excitement around your music.
How do I monitor my current releases?
To monitor your current Digital Distribution releases, click on Services in the top navigation bar, then select Distribution to view the status of your current releases.

To keep tabs on your earnings, go to the My Earnings dashboard, where you can view any pending or past earnings paid to you. Find out more about the My Earnings dashboard here.
When and how will I receive my earnings?
Earnings will be paid to your selected payout method on a monthly basis. Find out more about how we handle payouts.

You'll need to maintain an active Membership to keep 100% of your earnings. Should you discontinue your Membership, you'll receive 100% of your earnings until the end of the cycle, followed by 80% thereafter.

Do I need an active BandLab Membership to keep my releases live?

Yes, an active BandLab Membership subscription is required to keep your releases live on streaming platforms. Don't worry; you will receive ample reminders to renew your membership to keep your releases live. If your membership subscription remains inactive, your releases will eventually be removed from all streaming platforms.
