Ready to share your music with the world? Getting on streaming platforms starts with a perfect submission. This step-by-step guide walks you through our distribution process so you can confidently meet every store's requirements.
Here's how:
- Go to your BandLab Distribution Dashboard.
- Select Create Release.
- Fill out the submission form following the guide below:
- Enter the Release Title exactly as they appear on your cover art. Do not include features or version descriptions here (e.g., write "It's Over", not "It's Over (feat. DJ Cool)").
- Enter your Primary Artist Name and link your artist profiles. BandLab allows only one artist name per account. All future releases will always be attributed to your artist name.
- Select the genre that best fits your release.
- Choose a release date. You can release as soon as possible or at a later date. For re-releases, enter the date of the original release.
- Enter UPC and Label. For re-releases, make sure to add the original UPC.
- If you used licensed material in your release, make sure to attach the relevant licenses to the submission form. (e.g., BandLab Beats License)
- Enter the Release Title exactly as they appear on your cover art. Do not include features or version descriptions here (e.g., write "It's Over", not "It's Over (feat. DJ Cool)").

Click Add from Library to select a BandLab project, or click Upload from Device to upload directly from your computer.
For single-track releases, the release title and track title must match. If your track is a modified version of an already live track, make sure to add Version info. (e.g., Live, Acoustic)
Enter the First name and Last name of the songwriter(s). You must use the standardized first and last legal names, not an artist name, for licensing and payments.
If you have multiple primary artists in your track, add them in.
Type the name of anyone who played on the track and select their Instrument from the dropdown. (If no other instruments apply, select Synthesizer)

Add your Contributors and link their artist profiles.
Select the appropriate language of your track. If it has no lyrics, select Instrumental. (Note: If your release has more than one language, pick the one that’s used the most.)
If you're re-releasing a track, make sure to add the original ISRC of the track to prevent duplicate releases.

- Dimensions: A perfect square, minimum 1400 x 1400 pixels (up to 6000 x 6000 pixels).
- Restrictions: Do not include text outside of your artist name and release title. No social handles, website URLs, email addresses, or barcodes. The image must not be blurry or pixelated.

- Click on the Connect button next to Tipalti
- Fill in the required information, including contact details and the preferred payment option, then click Next
- You'll be returned to the Distribution form with your payout method set up.

Fill in your contact details and select your preferred payment method, then tap Next.
You’ll be redirected back to the Distribution form with your payout method ready to go.
What Happens Next?
BandLab will review your submission for content and copyright compliance. Distribution times can vary depending on the store. Once we've reviewed your submission, it can take up to 2 weeks for your track to go live on Spotify, Apple Music, and other stores.
