How to use Retune™

WebMobile
  1. Go to your Voice/Audio track and open Retune™ from the Audio Editor tab in the lower left corner of the Studio
  2. Your audio track is automatically split into pitch segments represented by blocks across the timeline
  3. Choose Classic or Creative mode. You can switch between these modes seamlessly at any time
Classic Mode

In Classic Mode, the column on the left shows the pitch lanes in semitones, and all segments are lined up in the middle with an initial pitch-shift value of zero. All edits you make here are also reflected in Creative Mode.

  1. Drag segments up or down to adjust the pitch by cents (max. +/- 12 st). You can only adjust one segment at a time

Pitch-shifted segments also have their formants shifted. If you want to change the pitch while keeping the formants corrected, try Creative Mode instead.

Creative Mode

In Creative Mode, the column on the left shows the pitch lanes in notes, and all segments are placed on the grid representing their actual pitch. All edits you make here are also reflected in Classic Mode.

  1. Drag segments up or down to adjust the pitch by cents. You can only adjust one segment at a time
  2. Click Apply once you're done editing. Closing Retune™ automatically applies all changes in pitch to the track
In Creative Mode, formants are corrected, resulting in a cleaner and more natural sound. Applied changes cannot be undone, as they're printed to the audio track itself, which replaces the original. To revert to the original sample, close Retune™ and click Undo in the Studio.
