The BandLab Splitter separates your song into individual track stems. This allows you to work on each element of a song without any interference from other instruments.
The quality of the output depends on the audio source. It's best to upload high-quality tracks to get the best results!
Accessing the BandLab Splitter
- Go to the BandLab Splitter page
- Drag and drop to import a song, or open the file picker and select an audio file to import
- Select the number of tracks to split, and the audio file will be analyzed
- Once your audio file has been analyzed, it will be separated into different tracks
Using the BandLab Splitter

Play your song or a specific split track
- Change the split configuration
- Adjust the volume of the split tracks
- Click S to Solo or M to Mute specific tracks
- Open the stems in the Studio as Audio or MIDI. Selecting MIDI will convert your audio tracks into MIDI tracks
- Download the stems as Audio or MIDI. Selecting MIDI will convert your audio tracks into MIDI tracks
- Adjust your track's BPM, Pitch, or
Loop sections

Import a new song, or
Open/Delete previously split songs
Using Splitter in the Studio
- Right-click on the region you want to split and click Splitter
- Allow some time for the audio file to be analyzed and split up into different tracks
- Once the audio file has been split, you can delete or keep the original region
Using the Splitter tool
- Tap the Create
button, and tap
Splitter
- Tap Import a Song to open the file picker and select an audio file you'd like to import
- Allow some time for the audio file to be analyzed and split up into different tracks
- Once your audio file has been analyzed, you can:
- Listen to the tracks, and tap on S to Solo or M to Mute either the Vocals, Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano, or Others
- Tap the
Loop icon, then set the Left and Right indicators to play the tracks in a loop
- Tap the
Studio icon to import the tracks into BandLab's Studio
- Tap the
Upload icon to upload the different tracks in a zip file to any file storage service or messaging app of your choice
- To view the previous songs you've split, tap the
Time Rewind icon at the top of your screen
Using the Splitter in the Studio
- Tap the region you want to split and tap the
button
- Tap
Splitter and select the number of tracks to split
- Allow some time for the audio file to be analyzed and split up into different tracks

Once your audio file has been split, you can delete or keep the original region
