Using the Looper

Looper lets you trigger pre-made Loop Packs available on BandLab. It's currently only available on the BandLab iOS and Android Mobile apps. 

Accessing the Looper
  1. You can access the Looper in two ways:
    1. From the app's main page, tap the 20210222_234010.png Create button and select Looper under Track Type
    2. From the Studio, add a track and select Looper
  2. Browse our Loop Packs and preview the available Sounds
  3. Tapping the SmartSelect_20210223-000705_Gallery.png Add icon on the Loop Pack will add it to the Looper
  4. On the Looper, tap the colored boxes to play/pause the samples. Long-press on the boxes and drag your finger over to play multiple samples

Adding Effects

The Looper features real-time performance effects, including Filter, Gater, Stutter, and Tape Stop. You can also add presets to the Looper track, just like any other Voice/Audio, Guitar, or MIDI Instrument track.

Effects Presets

  1. Open the Looper track
  2. Tap the Fx Preset tab
  3. Tap any preset to add it to your track, or create your own preset

Looper Effects

  1. While the samples are playing, tap the Looper_Effects.png Looper Effects tab in the lower left 
  2. Place your fingers on the Filter and Gater effect pads
  3. Move your fingers on the pads to adjust the Cutoff and Resonance on the Filter pad, and the Depth and Rate on the Gater pad
  4. Tap and hold Time Signatures below the effect pads to apply Stutter to your loop performance
  5. Tap and hold mceclip6.png Tape Stop to stop your performance and release it to resume playback
