BandLab Reference Mastering lets you match the sonic character, tonal balance, and dynamics of your favorite reference tracks. Whether you're preparing your music for commercial release or maintaining a consistent sound across an album, Reference Mastering analyzes your chosen reference audio and applies BandLab's mastering settings to closely match its sonic profile.

Reference Mastering in Studio
- Tap the Mastering toggle (top right).
- Select Reference Matching and upload track.
- Upload your reference track
- Wait for scan to auto-adjust your mastering settings to match the reference track
- Tweak Intensity and EQ to taste.

- In the Studio, tap
Mix View in the bottom-left
- Tap Mastering and select Reference Matching
- Upload your reference track
- Wait for scan to auto-adjust your mastering settings to match the reference track
- Tweak Intensity and EQ to taste.
Reference Mastering with Mastering tool
- Go to the BandLab Mastering page.
- Upload the track you want to master. (You can upload several songs at once and master them collectively)
- Select Reference Matching, and upload your reference track
- Wait until your reference track to be uploaded and scanned
The Mastering setting will automatically adjust to match the reference track.
Note: You can also access this tool by selecting "Apply/Edit mastering" from the revision setting of your track.

- From the app's main page, go to the
Create tab
- Under Tools, tap Mastering
- Select Reference Matching
- Upload your reference track
- Wait for scan to auto-adjust your mastering settings to match the reference track
- Tweak Intensity and EQ to taste.
Note: You can also access this tool directly from your Library by selecting "Apply/Edit Mastering" in your track's revision settings.
