VoiceTrainer is a tool designed to help beginner and intermediate vocalists warm up for performances, improve their singing skills, and develop consistent practice routines.
VoiceTrainer introduces several exercises aimed at expanding your vocal range and improving pitch accuracy. It is available exclusively on BandLab Mobile.
- Open your BandLab app
- Tap the
Create button at the bottom of your screen
- In the Tools section, tap on
to open VoiceTrainer
If you wish to access VoiceTrainer directly from your home screen without having to open BandLab, long press on the BandLab icon, and a list of tools will appear. If you've used VoiceTrainer before, it will appear on the list of tools. Select VoiceTrainer.
This is applicable for both iOS and Android users.
For Android users, you can add the VoiceTrainer Tool directly to your home page. Long press the BandLab icon, a list of tools will appear, Long press "VoiceTrainer" again to drag the sub-icon to the desired position on your home screen.
When first opening VocalTrainer, you will be prompted to take the vocal range test to determine what is the highest and lowest notes you can sing. As everyone's vocal range is different, this test will help you tailor your vocal practices specific to your range.
Follow the prompt to sing the lowest and highest notes and find your vocal range.
At the end of the test, your vocal range will be displayed on the home screen of Voicetrainer and factored into your exercise.
Home Screen
Once the vocal range detection tool is done, a few exercise options will be available to you.
The training is catagorised into 3 different sections where each section will provide a different training module based on your needs.
- Warm-Up
- Breathing
- Conditioning
Tapping on the exercise will start it. Tapping on your current vocal range will allow you to retake the vocal detection test.
Starting the exercise
At the start of your exercise, you'll be given a summary as to how the exercise will be conducted. Follow the instructions provided until the end of your exercise to complete it.
You can also skip the exercise, change your key or restart it from by opening the options tab.
Once you completed the exercise, you will be able to repeat the exercise or go to the next one. Tapping on the Back arrow leads you back to the home page.
