The verified badge helps you identify public figures, brands, and artists more easily on our platform. Here’s everything you need to know:
A verified badge is a blue checkmark that is shown next to a BandLab user’s name on their profile. It signifies that BandLab has verified the account as authentic and belonging to the individual, brand, or entity it claims to represent. However, verification does not reflect an endorsement of the user’s character, values, or the content shared on the platform. You need an active BandLab Membership to request a Verified Badge. The badge will only appear as long as your membership is active. Having a membership does not guarantee that your request will be approved.
BandLab requires accounts to meet the following criteria to qualify for, retain and display a verified badge:
- Active BandLab Membership
-
Complete Profile
- Your account must include a display name, a unique username, and a profile picture
-
Active Usage
- Your account must have been active within the last 30 days
-
Secure Account
- A confirmed email address must be associated with your account
-
Consistent and Compliant
- No recent changes to your profile picture, display name, or username
- No signs of spammy or bot-like, deceptive or misleading behavior
- No recent violations of BandLab’s Community Guidelines
Linking your Instagram and TikTok accounts to your BandLab account enhances your application by providing additional evidence of your authenticity, which improves your chances of being verified. This will also help speed up the review process. You can link your Instagram and TikTok accounts from your Profile Settings.
Beyond BandLab, credibility and success off-platform play a significant role too. Having a substantial and engaged following on other platforms, key achievements on major streaming services, or notable success in the music industry, can demonstrate your public presence and influence, which in turn strengthens your application.
Additionally, maintaining a consistent identity on BandLab, actively engaging with the community, frequently creating and publishing posts, and adhering to Community Guidelines will further increase your likelihood of receiving the Verified badge.
- Go to bandlab.com/get-verified
- Fill in the form with your details
- Click on the Request for Verification button to submit your request
Once submitted, you can view the status of your verification request by going to the link or navigating to Artist Services and selecting BandLab Verified on the BandLab Mobile app. Please note that the review process is not immediate and can take up to 14 days.
An active BandLab Membership is required to keep your Verified badge. It is displayed only while your membership remains active. If your membership lapses, your verification status will be temporarily inactive until restored.
Yes. BandLab reserves the right to revoke verification if an account violates Community Guidelines or frequently updates its display name, username, or profile picture.
