BandLab is committed to providing assistance to law enforcement and government agencies to promote safety on our platform while respecting the rights of our users.
BandLab is willing to comply with requests by law enforcement or government agencies, especially if it pertains to the safety of an individual or other exigent circumstances.
However, BandLab must also limit the burden that unlimited requests will put on BandLab’s operations.
Information Disclosure Requests
Therefore, BandLab reserves the right to refuse to release any information related to an account unless required by valid legal process recognized in the jurisdiction of Singapore. Law enforcement, government agencies or other parties must obtain a subpoena, court order, search warrant or other valid legal documents from Singapore's Attorney General's Chambers under the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act or an applicable Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty or another appropriate authority (“Legal Documentation”). To avoid unnecessary delay, law enforcement representatives or other parties requesting assistance are to ensure that such Legal Documentation is addressed to BandLab Singapore Pte Ltd. If the necessary documents have been obtained, kindly fill out the Law Enforcement Request form and attach the required documents.
Preservation Requests
BandLab will accept requests from law enforcement or government agencies to temporarily preserve information relevant to their investigations for up to 90 days. The preservation period may be extended for an additional 90 days via written extension request to us.
Non-notification Requests
BandLab will notify the affected user before disclosing their information to law enforcement or government agencies unless (a) prohibited from doing so by law, or (b) there are exigent or counterproductive circumstances that warrant forgoing user notification, such as, child exploitation, threats to an individual’s life or safety etc.
If such request makes us aware of a violation of our Terms of Use, BandLab will take necessary actions to prevent further abuse, including actions that may put the affected user on notice that we are aware of their misconduct.
Emergency Requests
We review requests on a case-by-case basis. If the safety of an individual is at risk or there are other exigent circumstances and it takes too much time to obtain Legal Documentation, we can make exceptions if we believe it to be a valid concern. Law enforcement representatives or other parties requesting assistance must fill out the Law Enforcement Request form and are required to attach any legal documents proving the legitimacy of the investigation and the identity of the law enforcement or other representative submitting the request.
