In order to start collecting your earnings from BandLab, you will need to set up a secure payout method. BandLab partners with Tipalti, a secure global payment processing provider, to safely deliver your funds through a variety of options including PayPal, bank transfers, ACH, and wire transfers.
Setting up your payout account is required to collect your earnings and keep your music releases on track. Without it, your music cannot be distributed:
- To get paid for our Distribution service: You must have a registered payout account to successfully receive money from our Distribution service.
- To avoid release delays: If you don't link a payout account, your Distribution submissions may be rejected or get stuck in the review process.
- Log into your account on BandLab.com and click on your Profile icon.
- Navigate to Settings and select the Payments tab.
- Under the Payment section, click on the Connect button next to Tipalti.
- Complete your contact information, address, and payment details.
- Open the BandLab app on your mobile and tap your Profile icon.
- Tap the Gear icon (Settings) located in the top right corner.
- Scroll down and select Payments.
- Tap the Connect button to open the Tipalti setup form.
- Complete your contact information, address, and payment details.
Guide to Completing Your Payout Onboarding Forms
Step 1: Enter Your Information
Ensure all information entered here matches the official details registered with your banking institution.
- Type: Select Individual if you are collecting earnings as an independent creator, or Company if you operate under a formal business entity.
- Contact Email & Phone Number: Enter your primary email address and a valid phone number, ensuring the correct country calling code is selected (e.g., +65 for Singapore).
- Name Fields: Provide your First Name, Middle Name (optional), and Last Name exactly as they appear on your legal identification document and bank statement.
- Address: Input your physical billing address. Use Address 2 for unit or apartment numbers (e.g., 12-345). Fill out the City, Country, and Postal Code accurately.
Step 2: Select Your Payment Method
Specify how you would like to receive your payouts and provide the corresponding bank routing credentials and information. Based on the Payment method you choose, the information required may vary.
- Payment Method & Currency: Choose your preferred transfer type (e.g., Wire Transfer) and select your payout currency (e.g., SGD, USD, EUR). *Take note of the transaction and FX fees listed at the bottom of the form before proceeding.*
- Name on Account & Account Number: Select your verified account name from the dropdown menu and carefully input your full bank account number.
- SWIFT: Provide your bank's international SWIFT/BIC code. You can locate this on your online banking portal or bank statements.
- Bank Address Information: Enter the official name of your banking institution along with its complete physical branch address (Street Address, City, Province, and Postal Code).
- Intermediary Bank (Optional): Check this box only if your local bank explicitly requires a correspondent or intermediary bank to process international foreign currency transfers.
Note: The minimum payout threshold on BandLab is $5 USD after deducting applicable taxes and fees. Please ensure that the name and contact details provided during your Tipalti registration exactly match your official banking records. Discrepancies may lead to delayed or failed transfers. If you select a payout currency other than USD, standard FX conversion fees may apply.
