Troubleshooting: Audio Safe Mode (Android Only)

Is your studio audio acting up on your Android device? Due to the wide variety of Android hardware, some devices require Audio Safe Mode to bypass driver conflicts. Let's troubleshoot your setup step-by-step so you can eliminate digital glitches and return to a flawless recording.

When to use Audio Safe Mode

Try enabling Audio Safe Mode if you are encountering any of these sound-related performance issues:

  • Chipmunk voice issue (recordings sound unusually high-pitched)
  • Audio connection issues
  • Low volume when recording
  • Warnings displaying "Audio Issues Detected"
  • Distorted/Compressed sounds when using Bluetooth Devices

Note: While Audio Safe Mode helps to optimise connectivity and clean up playback glitches, it may slightly increase your active recording latency.

You can easily toggle this setting directly inside the BandLab Studio. Follow these instructions to activate it:

  1. Open a project in the Studio
  2. Tap the Gear icon to access your Settings
  3. Scroll down to locate the Troubleshooting section
  4. Toggle to enable Audio Safe Mode
