Issues downloading the BandLab Mobile app

If you're having trouble downloading or getting the latest version of BandLab, it usually comes down to device compatibility or store settings. Check the sections below to see if your device meets the requirements or to troubleshoot your connection.

Device Compatibility & OS Requirements

Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements to run the latest version of BandLab:

  • For Android: You need to be using Android 8.2 and above.
  • For iOS: You need to be using iOS 15.5 and above.

Phone Models: Some Android devices and specific brands may have hardware compatibility issues with BandLab's processing requirements. If your device is running an older chipset or a non-standard version of Android, it may be listed as incompatible in the Play Store.

Check Storage Space

Android and iOS won't download updates or new apps if your internal storage is critically low (usually less than 1GB remaining).

  • Go to Settings > Storage to see what’s taking up space.
  • Uninstall Any unused app or delete any unwanted data from your storage.
Network & Connection Issues

If the download is stuck or "Pending," try refreshing your connection:

  • Weak Wi-Fi: Toggle Airplane Mode on/off to reset your network radio.
  • Cellular Data: Try switching from Wi-Fi to data (ensure "Low Data Mode" is turned off in your settings).
  • VPN Interference: Disable your VPN before downloading to ensure your digital region matches your App Store/Play Store region.
App Store Payment Methods (iOS)

Even for free apps like BandLab, Apple requires a valid payment method on file in many regions. If an old card has expired or has an outstanding balance, it can block all downloads.

  1. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Payment & Shipping.
  2. Ensure your primary card is up to date and has no "Action Required" alerts.

Is there a service outage?
Sometimes the issue isn't you, it's the store. You can check DownDetector to see if Google Play or Apple Services are currently experiencing global issues.
