Connecting MIDI Devices on BandLab is very straightforward. Most USB devices are supported, so you only need to plug them in, and they should work fine.
- Connect your MIDI device to your computer via the USB cable. To connect a 5-pin MIDI device to your computer, use a USB-to-MIDI interface cable or a dedicated audio interface with 5-pin ports.
- Go to the BandLab Studio and add a Virtual Instrument track.
- Your connected MIDI device should already be detected. If not, please make sure that your browser permissions allow MIDI devices to be connected.
- You can also manually select the MIDI device from the Instrument track panel.
- Once connected, you're all set! You can start playing and recording your MIDI Instruments.

- Connect your MIDI device to your phone using a supported adapter or an OTG cable. To connect a 5-pin MIDI device to your computer, use a USB-to-MIDI interface cable or a dedicated audio interface with 5-pin ports.
- Make sure that your MIDI device is powered up and detected by your phone.
- Go to the BandLab Studio and add a Virtual Instrument track.

Your connected MIDI device should already be detected. You can also check this from your Studio settings. (Note: Connected MIDI Devices settings are only available on Android.)
- Once connected, you're all set! You can start playing and recording your MIDI Instruments.
Having connection issues?
- Make sure that your browser permissions allow MIDI devices to be connected.
- If your MIDI Device needs a power supply, make sure you connect it to get enough power.
- Try connecting your MIDI device to different USB ports or try using different cables to see which works for you.
