You'll need a USB mic or use an audio interface to connect an instrument or mic to BandLab. There are plenty of audio interface manufacturers to choose from, but please make sure it's compatible with the device you're planning to use it with, especially if it's a mobile device.
- Connect a quarter-inch or XLR cable from your instrument or microphone to the audio interface
- Connect the audio interface to your device or computer (via the USB-A or USB-C port)
- Add a Voice/Audio, Guitar, or Bass track, and select your Input Device and Input Channel
- Start recording
- Connect a quarter-inch or XLR cable from your instrument or microphone to the audio interface
- Connect the audio interface to your mobile device (via the micro-USB, USB-C, or Lightning port)
- Add a Voice/Audio, Guitar, or Bass track
- Go to the Studio Settings in the upper part of the Studio, and select your Input Device and Input Channel
- Start recording
Note
- If you're using a USB mic, you can connect it directly to your device's USB port without needing an audio interface
- Studio Web only supports up to 2 channels per track (Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 1 + 2)
