We limit content depicting regulated goods and services due to the risk of addiction, misuse or harm. Such depictions may be allowed for adult audiences, only if specific conditions are met.
Not allowed
Depictions of regulated goods and services are not allowed if:
Minors are involved (as these will be considered illegal activities).
The activity is overly glamorized, or presented with unverified/ exaggerated claims.
Illegal variants or improvisations are featured, e.g. homemade alcohol, misuse of over-the-counter drugs, ghost guns etc.
Local regulations prohibit the activity, e.g. vaping in banned regions, owning or using a gun outside of legal settings.
Allowed
We consider the following conditions before allowing:
Depictions of alcohol, tobacco or legally-prescribed drugs provided that there's no excessive use, over-glamorization, or misinformation about the risks of addiction or health hazards.
Personal stories of substance abuse recovery or educational discussions without promotional intent.
Firearms or explosives showed unused, or used in legal settings (e.g. professional firing range), or there’s clear proof of legal ownership.
Firearms or explosives used in a video game setting.
