Experiencing audio glitches, stuttering, and dropouts? These can occur in your project when your browser/device lacks processing power.
Freezing your Tracks
Freezing your tracks reduces the processing power needed to play them by bouncing them to audio in the background. We strongly encourage freezing your tracks if you're working on a large project or experiencing a slowdown in your Studio's performance.
- Select a track to freeze
- Click the
Triple Dot Icon and select Freeze.
Merging Your Region
If your project has disconnected Audio/MIDI regions, we recommend merging them.
- Select and highlight the multiple audio regions in your track
- Right-click and selecting Merge Region.
CPU Optimisation
- If you have many applications or various Chrome tabs open, closing them will also help with performance.
Freezing your tracks
- Tap on the
Fader Icon at the bottom left corner of your screen
- Tap on the
Triple-dot Icon on the track you'd like to freeze
- Tap on Freeze Track to freeze your track
Enable Audio Safe Mode(Android Only)
- Open a project in the Studio
- Tap the
Gear Icon to access the Settings
- Find Troubleshooting and enable Audio Safe Mode
Device Optimisation
- Close all other applications, especially games and multimedia apps
- Go to airplane mode and turn off wifi during recording (no network activity, less background work on the cpu)
- Try plugging in another recording/listening device. Try with regular headphones without mic. Or try with a USB interface/adapter.
- Disable battery saver, charge the device.
Incompatible Devices Notice: If you are still experience stuttering and performance issues despite taking these steps, please check whether your device is on the incompatible devices list. Unfortunately, our support is limited to this if you've already tried all the steps above.
