If your projects or revisions aren't saving or syncing, please go through this checklist:
- Internet connection - We recommend using a strong and stable WiFi or LAN connection when possible as the network speed tends to be faster
- Version of BandLab - Make sure you are updated to the latest version of the BandLab Mobile app if you're on a mobile device
Please avoid deleting the app or closing your browser if you can't seem to save a project, and follow the steps below:
If your project or revision still can't be saved despite going through the checklist above, we'd recommend trying the following:
Download your tracks and recreate the project
- Make a right-click on the region
- Depending on the type of track, click on Export Region as MIDI or Export Region as WAV
- When exporting MIDI files, please take note of the Instruments used
- If you were using any effects, please take note of the presets or effects used
- Take note of your project's tempo/key signature/automations and close the Studio
- Create a new project with the same tempo and key signature
- Import the downloaded tracks into the new project and click Save
Trigger Processing
If your track saves but seems to be stuck in processing, please refresh your browser and try to trigger processing again!
- Restart BandLab on your device and wait for a couple of hours
- Logout and login and wait for a couple of hours before trying again
Checking Sync Queue
There is also a Sync Queue feature on the mobile app that will help you learn which step your revision is stuck at. Here's how you can view it:
- Tap on Library on the bottom right of your home feed
- Select your Project
- Tap on View Details
- Tap on View Project History
- Tap the Syncing Icon
- Check your Sync Queue to check which step is your revision is stuck at
- Generating Mixdown
- Uploading Samples
- Mastering (If Applied)
- Creating Revision
- Write to support@bandlab.com with your project name and at which part did the Sync Queue fail.
Download Mixdowns
In the worst-case scenario where the revision sync can't be fixed, you will still be able to download your track mixdowns from the Studio:
- Open the Revision in the Studio
- Swipe your screen from left to right to open the sidebar
- Tap on the Triple Dot Icon on each track to download your tracks
What happens if BandLab crashes while I am using the Studio?
Do not worry! Your session may still be restored.
- Open the Studio again
- There will be a pop-up with Restore that will help restore as much data as possible
* We strongly recommend saving your revisions as often as you can so that you can never lose your work!
- Restart BandLab on your device and wait for a couple of hours
- See if your revision has been processed on Web
