If your projects or revisions aren't saving or syncing, please go through this checklist:
- Internet connection - We recommend using a strong and stable WiFi or LAN connection when possible as the network speed tends to be faster
- Version of BandLab - Make sure you are updated to the latest version of the BandLab Mobile app if you're on a mobile device
Please avoid deleting the app or closing your browser if you can't save your project, and follow the steps below:
Download your tracks and recreate the project
- Select the individual track you wish to download and click on the Triple-Dot Icon
-
Depending on the type of track, click on Export Region as MIDI or Export Region as Audio
i. When exporting MIDI files, take note of the Instruments used
ii. If you're using any effects, take note of the presets or effects used
iii. Remember your project's tempo, key signature, and automation - Close the Studio
- Create a new project with the same tempo and key signature
- Import the downloaded tracks into the new project and click Save
Download Mixdowns
In the worst-case scenario where the revision sync can't be fixed, you will still be able to download your track mixdowns from the Studio:
- Tap on the Mix View Icon at the bottom left corner of the screen
- Tap on the Triple-Dot Icon on the track you wish to download
- Select Export as Audio/MIDI. (Note: You may need a file-saving app similar to DropBox or Google Drive to save it directly onto your phone)
- Remember your project's tempo, key signature, and automation, and close the Studio
- Create a new project with the same tempo and key signature
- Import the downloaded tracks into the new project and click Save
Processing
If your track saves but seems to be stuck in processing, please refresh your browser and try to trigger processing again! If the issue persists even after trying for a couple of hours, please contact us directly with the name of your project.
What happens if BandLab crashes while I'm using the Studio?
We don’t store a local save of your project on your device. We strongly recommend saving your revisions as often as possible to avoid losing your work!
