How do I create my own custom effects preset?

Apart from using the ready-made preset effects provided on BandLab, you can also tweak and adjust them to hit that sweet spot; getting the exact sound you're looking for! If you're the type to experiment and discover new sounds yourself, you can create your own custom preset, from scratch!

Here's how you can do that:

Web Mobile
  1. Click the Red Create button at the top right of the screen if you're starting a new project, or the + Add Track button at the top left of the screen if you're already in the Mix Editor
  2. Choose either Instrument, Drum Machine, Voice/Mic, or Guitar/Bass track
  3. Click on Effects on the bottom left of the screen
  4. Click on Add Effect and hover the cursor over the different categories to see the list of available effecs
  5. Click on an effect to select it
  6. Click Add Effect again to add more effects (You can chain up to a maximum of 8 effects)

  7. Once you're done, click on Save as and give it a name. Click on the Floppy Disc Icon to save any changes made to the preset, the Pencil icon to rename it, or the Trash Bin Icon to delete it
  8. Now, when you click on the drop-down list, you'll see your custom preset saved under My Presets

You can also edit an available preset and save it as one of your custom presets!
